The AES Radio Annunciator was designed to fill the need for Local Display and Local and Remote Annunciation of Alarm and Trouble conditions on an AES 7788F Fire Radio.
The goal was to produce an integrated component for the 7788F to satisfy the local AHJ requirements.
Key Features:
Local Piezo annunciation for Zone Alarm, Zone Trouble, and System Trouble events.
Alarm Output for remote annunciation of Zone Alarm events.
Normally Closed (energized) Annunciator Supervision Relay Opens upon Annunciator power or communication failure.
Single connection to AES Radio for power and data.
Backlit LCD Display.
12vdc Resettable Aux Power Output (50ma max) (use to poer a System Sensor W4-B 4-Wire P/E Smoke Detector and EOLR-1 EOL Power Supervision Module or to reset a remote power supply)
12vdc Alarm Output (25ma max) (trigger a remote power supply or relay)
Radio Diagnostic Modes displays NetConn and Route data and Packet Monitoring.
Programable System Display, Service Display, and Zone Descriptions via PS2 Keyboard connection.
Option to Auto-Silence System Troubles if Restored.
Option to Auto-Silence Zone Troubles if Restored.
Option to generate Reminder Beeps for pending Alarm or Trouble conditions.
24 Hour Re-Alert on Silenced Trouble Events that still exist.
Sends 24 Hour Periodic Test reports ("Abnormal Test" event if there is a pending alarm or trouble condition).
Sends Comm Fail Timer indicating # of minutes radio was in Comm Failure upon restoral.
RED Silence/Next button to silence and show next event.
WHITE Drill button to start a Fire Drill.
BLUE Aux Reset button to reset the Aux Power relay.
Password Protected Programming Mode.
Consumes <100ma from the radio during normal operation.
Communication Failure Timer reports to Monitoring Center how long radio was in Comm Fail for when it restores.
Events Received by the Monitoring Center:
305 - System Reset (power-up or reset)
323 - Aux Alarm Output Trouble (Alarm Output has a Short or Open condition)
381 - Loss of Super RF (reports duration of Comm Failure in Zone field in Minutes)
421 - Access Denied (wrong password entered for Configuration Mode)
601 - Manual Test (F8 key on Keyboard)
602 - Periodic Test (Automatically Generated daily Test)
604 - Fire Drill Started (Indicates a DRILL was initiated)
608 - Abnormal Test (sent instead of Periodic Test if Alarm or Trouble condition still exists)
627 - Programming Entered (Configuration Mode entered successfully)
628 - Programming Exited (Configuration Mode exited)
912 - Fire Alarm Silenced (Silence Button Pressed during a Fire Alarm or Fire Drill)
System Troubles indicated on Display:
NETCONN 6 POOR - Radio has a NetConn 6 (NetConn 5 or less is required for UL Installation)
NETCONN 7 FAIL - Radio has a NetConn 7 (NetConn 5 or less is required for UL Installation)
RADIO COMM FAIL - Radio has No Top Peer (LinkLevel = 0) and can not send a signal to the monitoring center
A/C FAILURE - Radio A/C Failure
CHARGER FAILURE - Radio Charger Failure (contact AES)
GROUND FAULT - Radio Ground-Fault Condition (Zone Ground termial is less then .1 ohm to System/Earth Ground)
BATTERY FAILURE - Radio Battery is Low
RADIO RAM FAIL - Radio RAM Failure (contact AES)
RADIO EEPROM BAD - Radio EEPROM Failure (contact AES)
RADIO ADC FAIL - Radio ADC Failure (contact AES)
RADIO LOOP FAIL - Radio Modem Loopback Failure (contact AES)
INTERFACE FAIL - Annunciator is not getting valid data from Radio. Supv Relay is de-energized
ALM OUT SHORT - ALM OUT OPEN - Alarm Output (ALM1) has a Short or Open condition
